A loving message from Jesus to the Laodicean Church

If you are:

Planning on going to heaven

Wanting to know how to prepare spiritually for what's ahead

Serious about overcoming all sin in your life

Then you've come to the right place!

This web site contains vital information about preparing for the Shaking, the Sealing, the Latter Rain, the Close of Probation, the Time of Trouble, and the Second Coming! If these terms are unfamiliar to you, please click here. If you don't know what the Spirit of Prophecy is, please click here.

Here's an urgent, vital question: Do you know what the Straight Testimony is, and why it's so important? We MUST know the answer to this question! Our destiny depends upon it!

We must understand just how we are to reflect the image of Jesus, and how to die to self. We must get ready, get ready, get ready!

In a view given June 27, 1850, my accompanying angel said, "Time is almost finished. Do you reflect the lovely image of Jesus as you should?" Then I was pointed to the earth and saw that there would have to be a getting ready among those who have of late embraced the third angel's message. Said the angel, "Get ready, get ready, get ready. Ye will have to die a greater death to the world than ye have ever yet died." I saw that there was a great work to do for them and but little time in which to do it. {EW 64.1}

How to use this website:

Valuable treasures from the Spirit of Prophecy reside on the pages within this site. By prayerfully reading, you will enable Jesus to speak to your heart. Please be sure you read the topics at the top related to conversion and revival before you launch into the other areas. You need to make sure you are spiritually ready to go to the finer points. Each point is important, and should not be overlooked. Pay close attention: When we come to a point that cuts, that goes against the grain, it's extremely important for each one of us to surrender that area in our lives to God, and not just pass on with a lame excuse for our cherished sin. God calls upon His Last Day Church to overcome on EVERY point, be the price what it may.

You will find on many of the pages check boxes followed by questions. Use these questions as a means of heart-searching. Pause prayerfully, and allow God to speak to you, subduing your heart, until you can respond with a hearty AMEN!

It would be a good idea to probe deeper into each subject in the Word and Spirit of Prophecy until you understand it fully. The quotations on this site are just a representative sample, and do not cover the entire scope of each topic. The goal of this web site is to encourage you to delve into God's Straight Testimony with a fervent intensity, so you can enjoy the blessing of victory in Jesus!

Can you hear the Spirit of God whispering to you? We must tune our hearts to hear the slightest whisper from the Holy Spirit.

Keep the conscience tender, that you may hear the faintest whisper of the voice that spake as never man spake. {ML 322.5}

The Holy Spirit will work upon minds if we will hearken to its faintest whispers. It is the voice of your Advocate in the heavenly courts. {17MR 193.3}

As we listen to His voice, and respond to His entreaties, we will find it is our joy and delight to please Him in every area of our lives.

So, here's the basic stragety for being ready for Christ's soon return:

  • Learn what the Straight Testimony is, and listen to it.
  • Seek the Lord for a willing heart so that you will receive it, and not rise up against it.
  • Commit to an ongoing exposure to the Straight Testimony, not just on this site, but through the inspired Testimonies of the Spirit of Prophecy.
  • Plead with the Lord for POWER to obey the Straight Testimony!
  • Overcome by the blood of the Lamb, and the faith of Jesus, through His abiding power.
  • Share your own testimony of faith and victory, which will inspire others.
  • Rejoice in the Lord as you allow Him to perfect your character, reflecting Him fully!

Remember, your eternal destiny hangs upon your willingness to receive and respond to the Straight Testimony!

May God bless you abundantly as you seek Him with all your heart!

A living testimony that will awaken the paralyzed conscience is to be borne. {RH, December 1, 1896 par. 8}

Read the chapters The Shaking & The Laodicean Message from Testimonies, Volume 1, starting on page 179.

When I see the work that lies before us, and when I see how poorly we comprehend what God requires of us, I am in an agony of distress. Here is the Word of God. Will you take it? Or will you be rejected by the Lord because, though professing much, your spirit and words and actions are void of the warmth of His Spirit? A lifeless profession is nauseating to God. Christ can not present before the Father those who are lukewarm. He declares: "So then, because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of My mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked"--Are you going to live so that, when Christ comes, you will be among the number of whom He says, "And knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked"? May God awaken us, and break our hearts of stone, is my prayer. We need to feel His converting power. His praise should fill our hearts and lips. The fragrance of Christ's life is to be brought into our life. Then we can represent the great I AM. The Lord wants to work with us. He wants us to know just where we are standing. {GCB, April 6, 1903 par. 27}

Revelation 3

14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
